Artist Statement
Horses have always been my inspiration. I believe it comes from not having access to them as a child. They became something ethereal and unattainable. They were glorious gods that shimmered in the sun and smelled of heaven. I started drawing them to surround myself with horses.
I strive to capture the joy that they embody in my work. Bright colors and happily dancing patterns swirl in the form of the horse. I strive for a correct horse that will please a very particular horse lover and still give pleasure to an art lover. I work in a variety of media but I am always a painter at heart. I currently reside in Wyoming with my husband, four children, a beagle, and plethora of horses and chickens.
